JPC SHOEBOX COLLECTION FOR OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Get Ready – its that time of year!  JPC will be collecting the Samaritan “Operation Christmas Child” shoeboxes  Sunday, November 12, 2017 during the worship Service!

How to pack your shoebox:

  1. SHOEBOX: Get a standard size shoebox to pack for a boy or girl. Need shoeboxes? Preprinted boxes are available online.
  2. “WOW” TOY: Start with a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or stuffed animal.
  3. OTHER GIFTS: Fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
  4. PRAY: Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. Include a personal note and photo.
  5. INCLUDE $9 DONATION: A donation of $9 is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. Give online through Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox.
  6. DROP-OFF: Take your shoebox gift to a local drop-off location during National Collection Week, the third week in November. Visit our website to find one near you.
  • Age and Gender-Specific Ideas:
    Girls 2-4, Girls 5-9, Girls 10-14,
    Boys 2-4, Boys 5-9, Boys 10-14.

A Personal Note: You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. If you include your name and address, the child may be able to write back.

Do Not Include:  Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.Print
