Walk the Walk
Read Romans Chapter 8:1-17
Words to Ponder:
- Rules of engagement: A directive issued by a military authority specifying the circumstances and limitations under which forces will engage in combat with the enemy.
- Warrior: A brave or experienced soldier or fighter.
- Wilderness: An uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable region, a neglected or abandoned area .
- Champion: A person who has defeated or surpassed all rivals in a competition, a person who fights for a cause or on behalf of someone else.
- Abba Father: An intimate term for God as father.
Discussion and Reflection:
- We have heard the term “Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk. Explain the spiritual ramification of just talking the talk and not walking the walk.
- How does living according to the flesh differ from living according to the spirit ?
- What is the condition of people in Christ?
- Explain the sense in which the body is dead but is given life through His Spirit?
- What blessing do children of God have? What price must we pay?
Memory Verse:
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?
