Online Bible Study Day 15 Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Online Bible Study, Day 15 Scripture and Meditation by Betsi Moise

Thank you for taking the 20/20 challenge! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day

3cloBe imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Scripture 1 Corinthian 11:1

Saint Patrick, a Fifth Century Roman-British Christian, faced many challenges by committing his life to carrying out Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”

He was humble and he was courageous. His entire life was focused on being an instrument of God to bring the Good News of Christ to Ireland In his efforts he experienced much resistance from the pagan Druids and from England, but with God’s Power, Ireland experienced a spiritual awakening, and much of the island became Christian, sending out their own missionaries!

The extent of his work and the seeds he planted continue to grow and flourish, The holiness of a person is known only by the fruits of his or her work.

From “The Breastplate of St. Patrick”
“Christ shield me this day:
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every person who thinks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me”

Gracious and Powerful God, let me, like Saint Patrick, give my life as a witness to the Good News of Salvation and bring others to the peace and joy of your Gospel.
