Mr. Ganesh Vinnakota, Assistant Pastor

I was born and brought up in a Hindu family in India, worshipped idols and followed religious traditions and learned that by doing good works that we go to heaven.

In October 2001, my mother was diagnosed with stage four abdominal cancer, we took her to several doctors and offered pujas to gods, lost hope in her survival.

During this time, one pastor visited us and prayed for her and gave me a bible to read, with much curiosity I opened it and my attention was drawn to John 11:4 “When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby” so we asked God to heal her. He answered our prayers and healed her sickness.

Later by reading bible, I was convinced that one could be saved (go to heaven) not because of what good things one has done but because of what He (Christ) has already done for us, Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

My wife Geetha and I accepted Christ as our personal Savior. God blessed us with two children Pavithra and Nissi Jayanth.

In the year 2004, God opened the door for me to come to USA. In May 2015, I graduated with a master’s degree in theological seminary.
We praise God for leading our family to this wonderful JPC church. Also, we thank God for enabling us to start the Telugu worship service every Friday.
